TULSA, Okla. (May 28, 2020) – Tulsa law firm Wandres Law, PC is proud to announce the winner of the 2020 Wandres Law ‘Future Lawyer’ Scholarship, James Reed of Oak Creek, Ariz.
Mr. Reed is currently a Sophomore at Northern Arizona University pursuing his Bachelors of Science in Psychology degree with a minor in Military Leadership, and wants to work as a Prosecutor for the United States Attorneys’ office after completing law school.
“Thank you so much, that means an incredible amount to me” Mr. Reed said, after Wandres Law Partner Patrick Wandres informed him that he was being awarded the $1,000 scholarship to help combat the ever-growing cost of education.
Each entrant into the Wandres Law ‘Future Lawyer’ Scholarship contest was required to submit a 500 word essay on the topic “Why I’m Choosing To Become A Lawyer,” that painted a clear picture of why they were deserving of the scholarship, as well as providing insight on what they hope to contribute to society as an attorney.
“Wandres Law is really trying to make sure that we do what we can to contribute back to students that have a genuine understanding of how they can help people through the practice of law,” said Mr. Wandres, “and James’ essay spoke to that more than any of the hundreds of others we received.”
“Our hope is that this scholarship will help James to eliminate some of the challenges and obstacles that come with pursuing a career as a lawyer, and ultimately contribute positively to the legal profession.”
