Holdenville Man Dead After Trench Collapse

A Holdenville man has died after he was trapped in a trench that collapsed on him while he was on the job.
Holdenville Police say Jose Valenzuela was replacing sewer lines near Vorhees and 3rd Street on Monday. The trench collapsed, and Valenzuela’s body was recovered eight hours later.
Mr. Valenzuela was working for a contractor while replacing the compromised sewer line. OHSA is currently investigating the collapse.
